What Surprised Me About 75 Mile Beach

Beach camping zones 9 (Diray and Carree) on K'gari are closed from June 2025 to January 2027 for rehabilitation. The closure appears in the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service park alerts. I would remove those camping options from a fishing plan before choosing a base, not leave the decision until arrival.

I would choose an available, authorised campsite and then decide which fishing outings fit it.
