According to Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, the island has a continuing connection with the Butchulla people. I would choose by the activities you want: the remote product lists snorkelling, kayaking, swimming and dune walks, while the Rainbow Beach product describes a vehicle-based itinerary including Lake McKenzie.
My Lake Boomanjin visit in October 2022 stays with me for its quiet. I arrived at ten in the morning on a Saturday in perfect weather, and the car park held one other vehicle, a couple from Germany who had been there since seven. I waded into tea-coloured water and heard it lapping beneath the sound of wind in the paperbarks.
That was my visit, not a forecast of yours. Neither product below establishes a Lake Boomanjin stop, so I would not book either expecting to reproduce that morning.
