What I Wish I'd Known Before I Went
You cannot drive the eastern beach freely near high water, and the pools will not fill near low water, so the two constraints have to be solved together before you book anything.
Vehicle access: 4WD only, roughly 65km north of Eurong along 75 Mile Beach and past Indian Head, per the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service park pages, and rangers check permits along that run.

Leave the northern run for another trip if you are travelling with small children who will not tolerate a long day in a vehicle with a short swim at the end of it.
